Taking a Trip, Going through Doors
Happy Tuesday everyone! I am feverishly preparing for a trip to Colorado I am taking tomorrow. It's a short trip leaving Wednesday morning and returning on Friday night.
I am preparing to walk through a huge door and I am nervous, excited, overwhelmed, and hopeful. I still have quite a few things left on my to-do list today, but I am confident I will have it all done in time. Who needs sleep right?
Since I like to procrastinate, I recorded a Youtube video yesterday:
I will report back in a few days with some wonderful pictures and reveal the "big secret". Thank you so much for all the support and friendship, especially to those who have been keeping me company while I art live on Ustream the past few nights. Want to join in? Follow me on Twitter or Facebook!
Wish me luck (but please, no "break a leg" comments! hehe)!
Much LOVE xo

Art Journal Page Dedicated to Mom
Happy Mother's Day to all of my wonderful blog readers and friends!
I dedicated my show last night to a page honouring my beautiful mother, as well as celebrating National Scrapbook Day. Why not use a picture on your next art journal page?
And just for my mother who loves my cat Annie: (Don't worry mom, Annie is still all black, just the sun hitting her fur makes it look white)
My journaling says it all. I love you, Mom!
Thank you to all my wonderful friends who spent the evening with me. For those of you that missed it, here's the recording:

Prompt Mini Book for Art Journaling... with Corrugate!
I had such a great time with my new Homemade Corrugate technique that I decided to make a mini book. This is a 3" wide, 3x4" book. All the divider pages are made with the corrugate, I just love the grungy feel!
For the cover I wanted to make it extra special. I made a little flower with Tim Holtz Filmstrip Ribbon. I attached them with a brad through some of the Tim Holtz gears. I'm still working on this cover, but here it is so far:
I had fun combining techniques on the page below. I embossed the top sheet with a Tim Holtz Texture Fade which I inked in black. I just LOVE the clocks! Also in this picture you can see a close up of the LindyStampGang Moon Shadow mist. I applied the mist while the book was closed on all four sides to give it a vintage feel... I love how the mist floated onto some of the inside pages as well.
As I mentioned in my Youtube (while you're there, don't forget to subscribe!) video, if you like more of a clean look, you can always diecut into your top layer to reveal the corrugation underneath. Here I used a Spellbinders die:
This little book is not yet complete. I plan to add details to all the pages you see, which are dividers for prompt categories. I have six dividers and am planning on categories such as colour, texture, supplies etc. Thanks to my wonderful friend Dede for the prompt inspiration!
If you'd love to see how I created this, here is the live recording. I had such a great time!
Happy Scrapbooking Day everyone! I hope to see you live at my show tonight. Check it out over HERE at 9pm EST. Don't forget to hit "join crowd" to be reminded of all my shows and recordings.
See you tonight!
Much Love! xo

Happiness Art Journal Pages
Thank you so, so much for all the lovely comments on my last post! It is always so interesting to me to hear what others' favourites are. The picture taken from the close up above was definitely a favourite by all.
All of the pages below are from my "Now Here" art journal. This is the cover:
I originally called this an affirmation journal, but since I've worked in it more I've decided to only put quotes on happiness inside.
The backgrounds for most of the pages in this little art journal are made up from left over paints and sprays from other pages in my larger art journal. It was so freeing to just slap paint down without worry.
I'm off to get ready to teach live over on Ustream. I am live every Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9pm EST! I hope to see you there!
Much Love and HAPPINESS! xo

Art Journal Pages in Progress
I have been working daily in my art room. I have multiple journals and projects in process, not much completed. I thought I'd take the time to share a little close up art journal eye candy of a few art journal pages in progress.
Wowsers! That's twelve pages! Which are your favourites?
Much Love xo
