Hi everyone.
I just got home from a 4 day stay in the hospital, I broke my ankle in two places. :( I have never been in so much pain in my life. On a plus side, I passed the audit.
I don't plan on slowing down with my art, or blogging etc. I will be back tomorrow with some new pages. I didn't have my journal in the hospital, I have missed it!

Back to the Moleskine and a new Vid!!
Hi Everyone!
Thanks so much for the sweet comments as usual! So appreciated and needed. The audit that is causing all this stress starts tomorrow. Hopefully by the end of Friday I will be back to normal.
Here are my newest pages:
The first page, above, was definately a representation of the craziness going on in my head. So many layers, so many complexities. Check out my new vid below to hear me talk about what went into it. :)
I had a great time using that image from a set of tags and border strips from Graphic45. I used some really old scrapbook supplies, acrylics and stamping. Get out all of your "old" stuff, use it with some new and create something wonderful! I loved how this page turned out. Vintage and yummy.
I used some of those yummy Graphic 45 papers again. I posted a status on Facebook that simply said "is lost". One of my oldest friends responded, "Do you need sign that says, I am here". Smart ass. I thought it was funny though, and used it as the inspiration for this page.
I've been doodling the last few days (gasp!), I hope to show those soon.
For now, here is the link to my newest video. I am SERIOUSLY addicted guys, and am enjoying it so much. I plan on investing in a tripod soon so I will be able to share some tutorials.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm6_Tyz95ks Please rate and subscribe if you haven't done so, as well as checking out my other vids. I also put up a new one on my Junkue 31 Mini album, which is a great idea for creating a really simple journal as well. :)
I promise to be back to "normal" soon. hehe

A New Journal
My other spiral bound journal is almost full, so I decided it was time to break a new one in. I have had it for awhile and do not remember the manufacturer, but it is 8.5 x 11.
The above was my first completed page. I used acyrlics, all scraped with an old hotel room key. Lots of vinatage looking images and some random stamping.
I had fun with this page. This girl is another cut out from the Hong Kong Elle the Man gave me. So fun. I used a lot of those printed packing tapes. Apparently there were quite a few colours/designs, but I was only able to grab 6. I also used some of my favourite paper tape from 7Gypsies, lots of acrylics and some water colour crayons. I experimented with scraping white paint over the entire page (before the mag clipping went down) and liked how it turned out. You can barely see the "crackle" stamp that was in one of my new sets I bought from Tattered Angels, a set designed by Heidi Swapp. You can see it here, on my Haul video. :)
The last time I was at Michael's I also bought this lonely 12x12 peice of scrapbook paper with all these mini license plates, this is the second one I've used as they all have different words/sayings on them. This page is kind of raw for me, represents the rough time I'm going through. Yellow, red and orange acrylic paints scraped on, random crayon swirls, and that yummy printed packing tape again. :)
Last, but not least, this spread:
For the typewritten and the gentlemen, I used a pamphlet I got at the hotel while I was in Chicago. So fun to uses those kind of things! I started this spread with a Mars black acrylic background. On top of that I started with a base of three images cut out from Graphic 45 paper and added multiple layers of vintage elements. There are layers of Sepia and white acrylic paints in between the layers. You can see the pages seperately on my Flickr page.
I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It's a beautiful day here, but I will be spending it indoors playing with paint.
Much LOVE! xoxo

My RR Art Journal!
Hi all!
Here are the pics of my journal for Erin Kenepp's RR. I am late due to the craziness at work and some terrible bank account issues (so not good!!), and not needed added stress. Ugh. As they say, when it rains it pours!
The cover:
I really like how this turned out. I am using a very old 7Gypsies album. I painted over it in multiple layers and added the really cute scrapbook embellishment with the "artsy chicks", which I thought was fitting.
The sign in pages:
And my first two pages:
I hope everyone is having a great week.
MUCH LOVE!

Busy with my Moleskine
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I stayed low this weekend, coming down from a stressful time at work. The stress is taking over my whole life, I even had a nightmare last night about work.
Anyway, here is a new spread:
I really enjoyed creating this. The entire 2.5 page spread was created while sitting on my couch, a little bit here and a little bit there. I really enjoyed using my new printed packing tape I found in the cheapy section of Micheal's. Lots of both old and new scrapbook supplies used. The image of the woman with the sewing machine is an old one from Artchix Studio. The fun little journaling spot is something new I bought from Pink Paislee.
I really, really love the stencils from The Crafters Workshop. I try to buy a few everytime I see them. I think I have about 10 now. :) Again, more tape from M's, and random acrylics scraped on. The "relax" is a Thicker's sticker alpha set from American Crafts that I bought from M's as well.
I'm just putting the last touches to my journal for Erin Kenepp's art journal RR. I will be sharing pics on tomorrows blog post. My journal goes to one of my friends Ophelia. So excited for this to start!
Much LOVE! xoxo

New Moleskine Video Upload!
Hi All!
I was playing around last night and decided to use my digital camera to tape a Journal "flip", with some added commentary. I thought it would be nice to hear about some of the supplies used, techniques and or the motivation behind the pages. The problem is, I am a completely lost when it comes to technology. It took me 80 mins to upload this one video, so I figure I'm definately doing something wrong. Anyway, here is the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea9npNcX6nU
When I figure out how to embed it, I may do that. hehe ;)
I want to learn, so please feel free to leave some feedback, hints or tips. It would be much appreciated.
In the meantime, here are a few more recent pages:
This was a fun page. I was inspired to create a fold out. It's just a small acordian fold that is being held by a paper clip, but I really love it.
I love the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist over the star stencil!
Thanks again for all the sweet comments and support. Love you guys!

A Path to Peace
Happy Mother's Day all!
I've been thinking lately about peace, and how to attain it in my own life. Many years ago I read a lot about meditation and practiced yoga, it really helped. I plan to dust off those books, and my DVD's and rededicate myself. I know it can only add positivity to my life.
.
I decided to join an Art Journal Round Robin hosted by the wonderful Erin Kenepp. I'm very excited and am in the process of deciding on a journal. Look for updates soon! :)
Here is another page I finished yesterday. It's time to decide whether I sink or swim. I believe it's a choice.
I only have two or three pages left in this journal, see them all here.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Much LOVE xoxo

Back to Journaling
It's been a very, very stressful week at work. Lots to do, lots to worry about. I get home and am so exhausted I don't feel like doing anything other than reading and relaxing. There are so many ideas and projects in my head, but all I've been doing is writing them down. I plan on having a busy art filled weekend.
Here are a few recent pages:
It's no secret that I want a baby, that my "clock is ticking". I had to get it out on a journal page once again. There is still time! Multiple layers here... you can barely see some journaling I originally did and then covered up. Lots of practice swirls and random scrapbook supplies, both old and brand new. I get so much joy from using retro supplies I've hoarded for many years. :)
Simon works at a hotel in downtown Toronto and is sometimes able to get me discarded international magazines. These images were from a Vogue magazine I believe. I just couldn't believe how skinny these images were. I think it's so sad really. You can read my journaling to see my rant. ;)
As for process, multiple layers of paint with some Basic Grey paper on top. In real life it's very bright, I love it.
I will have much more to share this weekend. I hope you all had a great week~!

National Scrapbook Day Celebrations
Good Morning!!
First off, here is what I got at Michael's. I wasn't able to go to my LSS, so I was a bit bummed.
I was able to get a few things that really excite me. See that packing tape on the bottom?? I bought about 8 rolls of different designs. So LOVE! As I've mentioned recently I have been watching a lot of Youtube videos on Mini Books, resulting in the purchase of a Martha Stewart scoring tool and a Crop-a-Dile. I also bought the K&Co Que Sera Sera paper pack. A bit older, I know but I just LOVE the designs of this collection. I also bought a few Tim Holtz products, just LOVE him!
In honour of NSD I completed a few pages in my 31 Mini of Simon and I on the train leaving downtown Toronto:
It was definately fun to work in this again. I had to put a transparency over the picture of us as my face looks so yellow! I was running out of ink on my printer. :(
The pages seperately:
Simon looking at the CN Tower on the GO Train platform.
I love the look of Prima and K&Co together.
Have a great Sunday!

New Journal Pages
Happy National Scrapbook Day all!
I am celebrating by shopping, of course. I will post a few pics of my haul later. Before I share a few new pages in my Moleskine, I want to thank everyone for thier sweet and supportive comments. My "funk" unfortunately wasn't limited to just my art, it affected every part of my life. It's a terrible cycle. I don't do any art because I feel down, but I feel down because I'm not creating any art. Arghhh!
On to some pages:
I used some gouache for the first time as well as water colours. I was just playing around, still not quite sure how to use them properly. ;) As usual, lots going on here. I used some glossy accents on the circles of this spread, just because I like something to touch on a page.
A page about my Man, and how good he is to me. I created that little flap of transparency to tuck in a letter. Lots of hand made stamps and random scrapbook supplies here. At the last minute I threw on some purple paint with my fingers... not sure how I'm liking it. :)
Happy May everyone!
