Ok, so it seems like I have issues with the actaul picture taking of my journals. Flash=glare, no flash=colours that are blah. Hmmm. What to do?? Post both! haha All kidding aside, I'm going to have to find a better way to do this. For now, here are two more pages I've completed. I've been on vacation this week and am spending a lot of time in the art room.
You can check out my flikr (link to the right) so see the more "blah" version if you so choose. I like these better. I can deal with the glare, for now.
Have a great day!
After reading Tim Holtz's blog I was inspired. I've been on this creative journey for over 10 years now, starting with stamping (well, starting with a kit I bought on the shopping channel, but that's another story). It was my first love. I still can't create an art journal page, or scrapbook page without some sort of ink. I was inspired to create an art journal page as an ode.
Yes, I busted out my Distress inks and a few old stamps for this one. Anyone recognize the old Club Scrap stamps?? I had to use them, as I was able to meet Mr. Holtz on the 2 retreats I went on.
What got you into art journaling (or papercrafting in general)?
Have a great day!
Hi there! Meet my oldest cat, Baby. As you can see, she is a fan of napping on my supplies. Too cute to resist posting, if I do say so myself!
I hope everyone out there is journalling thier Christmas-time stresses away.

Thanks to Mystele and her youtube videos I decided to give it a try. I'm stoked!
Thanks to all those talented ladies out there who do art, make videos and inspire us all.
I've been thinking. I was somewhat unhappy with the last few pages I've posted here and on Flickr, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I've been looking at them, feeling them... looking some more... I've finally got it. None of the pages have ink around the edges. Yes, it's something that I do to 99% of my scrapbook pages as well... I guess it's part of my style.
I will upload some afters in the morning, see if you agree.
It's been a few years. I let my typepad blog expire, so I thought I'd start anew. I am hoping to document and share my life, my art... and a lot of craziness along the way. I hope you will follow me on this journey.
I have foresaken my scrapbooking for many months for my new addiction to art journalling. I suppose that my journals are still somewhat scrap friendly, which I struggle with. Is it art? Is it craft? Does it really matter as long as I'm creating?
Here are a few things I've been working on. I hope you will bear with me as I learn all about this blogging stuff, you know, how to make this look as pretty as all the rest. I'm beyond excited for this new journey!
