Obsessed with Mixed Media Mini Books

Happy Wednesday!

As promised, here are a few videos showing these books up close:

The next video shows my current left over desk journal which I LOVE:

I will be back soon with some drawing... can you believe it?

Much Love,

  1. Thanx for sharing your mini books and journal with us. I love keeping papers of leftover paint, sprays etc. and using pieces of them on other journal pages. Sometimes the random mess that is left ove looks better than the stuff done on purpose. The idea of a temporary binding to keep these papers together in a journal is a great idea.

  4. I'm a little confused about the cover of the rubber band binding (I'm really, really new to all this) . I see the front and back are made from chipboard or some other stiff material. Then do you attach a spine, and how do you determine how wide it should be?

  7. Hi Laura, I have recently started art journalling as a way to clear my mind and express myself. I wanted to thank you for your video's as they are really inspirational. I learned a lot from just watching even the fast forward no speach video's, so thanX again!!! And maybe I will one of these days, buy a webcam and join a ustream show, as they look like a lot of fun. (love your booklets, by the way =).)

  8. I don't know how the track back stuff works, but just wanted to let you know I made a post about a book cover I made inspired by your books and linked back to your post in it. I hope you don't mind.
