Art is... and a One Sheet Mini Book

When I first saw this quote, it was on a rubber stamp.  I whipped out my journal and copied it right away.  I have since found out that it is a quote from Edgar Degas.  These words really speak to me.  They speak to the teacher that lives in my soul.  My shows and what I do is not about me creating art, it's about helping others create art.  I drew the flower in the corner, you can scroll down and see the WIP shot, and coloured in with my Prismacolors.

During last nights Ustream class we made two little one page mini books.  The pictures above are from the one book that I had time to work in.  Lots of yummy Adirondack spray inks.  I just LOVE the new colours!  As always, if you can't join the fun live, you can go back and watch the recording.

I am so glad to say my headaches have finally gone.  Thank you so much for all your sweet comments and support!
Much LOVE xo

  5. Paula, I finally got my copy of Art Journaling and loved your article "Escaping with the Layers". I haven't had the time for journaling lately so I'm living vicariously through your art and talent. I've yet to watch you on Ustream and hope to be able to soon! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us!

  8. I had a wonderful time learning to fold and create a mini book. I only wish you could have seen me harpooning my paper with large scissors when the paper cutter and xacto knife where no where in site.
surprisingly it worked ok and only required a wee little clean up to even things out
    =)
    Thanks for another fun night!

  14. I just LOVE your blog and your art pages!! I just discovered your blog today. Wow! You are so talented. I can't wait to have time to check out your videos. I am following you now and I will definitely be back. I am new to art journaling, but I've been altering books for quite a while. Just an amateur, but I have fun.

    Blessings,
    Tricia
