Back to regularly scheduled programming...

Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks so much to all the wonderful new artists who have found me both here and on Youtube.  You all have helped me turn a very ugly injury to a joyous time in my life.  For that I am beyond appreciative.  All the comments and support have touched my heart in ways I couldn't explain.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Here are my latest pages from the couch:

Artista

I really like how it turned out, the picture doesn't do the colours justice.  It's such a vibrant purple.  I love how it looks like wings where I closed the book on some wet water colour paint.  If I could go back, I'd take away the red swirls, but oh well.  :)  It's a process.

Altered

I feel like this page isn't done, like it's missing something.  Maybe a title?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I had fun layering all the browns on this page, it's about six layers of paint deep.  :)

Journey

I know some of you have seen me use a whole sheet of rubons before, but I just had to do it again!  So freeing for me to use the hoarded stash, and I just love how it turned out.  If you look closely you'll see the wonderful new stamps my friend Sharon gave me.  :)

I've moved some supplies over to my kitchen table to practice sitting at a desk everyday.  I go back to work one week from Monday.  I must say, I'm a little scared.

When you've got a spare moment, check out one of my wonderful friends Eveline.  She has some wonderful Zentangles on her blog, and some beautiful journal flips on her Youtube.  :)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Much LOVE

  2. Hi Paula, The last 2-pager makes me feel that my next step will be some corner in Japan. I found an old mens clothing catalog from 2005 the other day and just last night while we were watching t.v. together I glued 5 or so pages together and than glued one sheet of refill paper to each page...your molding paste vid got me to re-visiting my thoughts on the two containers of plumbers paste I have and this morning I decided to use the older one up first{It's almost full}...I gessoed some of the pages last night so I chose one of them and made a one inch border around the edges so I have a flat area to glue a finishing border- anyways I drizzled some craft glue inside my square and began to play and decided since the label says non-hardening to cover that with a napkin. I'll be taking a photo before I start to decorate the pages. Happy happies.

  9. I love your work as always! The second image is possibly my favourite (if I HAD to pick one! haha) mostly just because it has alot of brown and lately I have been loving that. I also love your colourful ones too! The entire page of rub-ons sounds wonderful and looks wonderful also!

  10. I really like the brown page. I'm partial to that color (mud, or coffee, or chocolate, lol). Actually I've never met a color I didn't like. As far as adding something to the brown page, what about something dimensional? Maybe the molding paste? I once sprinkled gold embossing powder over wet molding paste and hit it with the heat gun. It gave a great molten metal look.

  13. It's a good thing there are baby wipes and just good ol' fashion soap and washcloths!!! I guess it also brings new meaning to the words 'art sponge'. ^_^
SO good to see you! I might just have to bring my vintage t.v. tray and square piece of dry wall back near my screen to play a-long with you, I've been watching movies the last couple of weeks in hubby's office so the items I've been using lately are in there.
I don't have the same shape of coffee filters so I decided to painty paint some of my used ones and so far have two that are lookin' good. How I got there was slightly different than the how-to video but doable til I can find the kind she used. Happy happies.
