Travelling again

I'll be travelling for work again for the next two weeks.  I will be leaving for Chicago tomorrow, then I will be in Minneapolis the week after.  I've been to both places many times and really enjoy both cities, so I'm looking forward to it.  Can you say Mall of America??  I can't wait!

I've been working steadily in my journals, I now have 14 pages on the go.  It's just how I work.  Here are a few recent completions:

It's me

This was a really quick page, I'm enjoying the process and just playing.

Hello Gorgeous

Again, lots of play and a few mag clippings.  I was inspired to use my Alcohol inks from Milliande's videos.

And finally:

Let go

Lots of hand carved stamps, well only two stamps, but lots of repetition.  :)  I carved these out of simple erasers I bought at the dollar store.

I'm spending the evening preparing pages in my journal with gesso for my trip.  I am having a very hard time deciding what I want to take (art supplies that is) as my last trip was a complete fail.  Wish me luck!

Much Love!

  1. Great pages, love the variety and how distinctive each page is. I just love your grungy style. Love making my own stamps, pretty much had to because the ones I had bought we so perfect they looked out of place on my imperfect pages. I much prefer my own ruff hewn stamps. You're braver than I, I've not attempted to carve out words but have tons of designs and the like. I work a lot like you do, several pages and journals on the go at one time, never a dull moment! Have a great trip and be ready to share your art when you return :-)

  2. I like your glasses stamp. Very nice! It's hard to know what to take when traveling. I went to visit a friend for a week-took art supplies-and never used them!!

  3. Love your pages, especially the blue one at the bottom. I have yet to travel with journal. That will be an interesting experience when it happens, I'm sure.

ah, trying to decide what supplies to take - so hard to narrow it down to just a few for traveling.
